Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival

Arrive at Baku Airport. 

A representative will meet and greet you upon arrival. 

You will be escorted to the coach. 

Enjoy a transfer to the hotel. 

Check in at the hotel. 

Overnight stay in Baku.

Day 2

Baku

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 

At 10:00 hrs, meet your guide at the hotel. 

Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from Upland Park, where you can observe the famous Flame Towers and Baku Bay. 

From 11:00 to 13:00, take a walking tour in the Old City (a UNESCO heritage site), including the Maiden Tower (12th century), Shirvanshahs Palace (15th century), medieval Caravanserai, hamams (bathhouses), market square, carpet shops, art studios, and souvenir stalls. 

After a lunch break, continue the tour. 

At 15:00, visit the Cultural Center named after H. Aliyev, recognized as one of the world’s most famous buildings and a masterpiece of Zaha Hadid, which has become an architectural landmark of modern Baku. 

Overnight stay in Baku.

Day 3

Gobustan, and city centre

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 

At 09:00 hrs, meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby. 

Embark on a trip to the mud volcanoes, located 70 km from Baku, which are a unique natural phenomenon of the country; almost half of the mud volcanoes on our planet are found in Azerbaijan. 

From 11:00 to 12:30, continue to the Gobustan Reserve, an open-air archaeological museum (a UNESCO heritage site) known for its archaeological monuments, including more than 4,000 petroglyphs and rock paintings from the Neolithic era that depict ancient populations traveling in cane boats, hunting antelopes and wild bulls, and performing ritual dances. 

Enjoy a lunch break from 13:30 to 14:30. 

At 15:00, visit the National Carpet Museum. 

At 16:00, take a leisurely walk along the Seaside Boulevard and through Little Venice Park. 

At 17:00, explore the city architecture from the 19th to 20th centuries, including Nizami Street and Fountain Square. 

Overnight stay in Baku.

Day 4

Absheron peninsula

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 

At 10:00 hrs, meet your guide for your tour. 

Take a trip to the Absheron Peninsula (approximately 40 km) to admire Yanardag, the flaming mountain where natural gas comes to the surface and has been burning since ancient times, attracting fire worshippers for centuries. 

At 11:30, explore the Fire Worshippers Temple, Ateshgah, which was built by Hindu pilgrims in the 18th century and served as a pilgrimage site for fire cults until the late 19th century. 

After a lunch break, drive back to the city. 

At 15:00, explore the local market, Yashil Bazar ("Green Market"), where you can find a variety of local fruits and berries, spices, freshly baked bread, honey, cheese, and sweets. 

Enjoy free time in the afternoon.

Day 5

Baku - Shamakhi – Sheki

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 

At 08:00 hrs, you will be picked up from the hotel. 

Depart for Sheki, located in the northwest of the country (approximately 330 km away). 

At 10:00, visit the ancient Juma Mosque in Shamakhi, one of the first mosques in the Caucasus. 

Enjoy a lunch break on the way. 

At 15:00, visit an ancient Alban Church in the Nij village, home to the Christian community of ethnic Udins who have preserved their language and traditions for centuries. 

Along the way, take in the picturesque landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains. 

Arrive in Sheki by evening for an overnight stay.

Day 6

Sheki – Baku

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 

At 09:00 hrs, start your tour. 

Explore the local market—bazaar—where you can find a variety of items, including local fruits and berries, spices, freshly baked bread, honey, cheese, and Sheki sweets. 

At 10:00, begin sightseeing in Sheki, visiting the city fortress, Sheki Khan Palace (18th century), Caravanserai, artisans’ stalls (including Shebeke stained glass, silk and embroidery shops, potters, confectioners, hatters, and more), and numerous souvenir shops. 

Visit the village of Kish to observe the ancient temple (5th century), known as “the mother of churches.” 

From 13:30 to 14:30, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. 

After lunch, depart for Baku (approximately 370 km away). 

Arrive in Baku around 19:00/20:00 and check in at your hotel.

Day 7

Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 

Check out from the hotel. 

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
